Guild Pro '93 replica
18th June 2005
Today we finally continued with building my RS.
We worked on the neck joint today. I made a small error in transferring the plans to the wood, so the neck is slightly off where it should be. This now produces a small gap at the front and back of the neck, but can be rectified.
(the first picture is actually taken from a later date)
As you will see from the second picture, I have used special nuts to secure the neck to the oak centre. These pronged tee nuts stick into the wood and provide a very secure method of attaching the neck to the body without the need for creating a large recess for a nut and washer.
